Crane Duty Helical Gearboxes
Case-hardened, profile-ground helical gearboxes for EOT crane hoists, travel drives and winches. Designed, machined and tested under one roof in Ahmedabad, in cast iron or fabricated steel housings.

Super-rigid graded cast iron, machined on high-precision VMC and HMC centres. Fabricated steel housing available on request.

Every gearbox is assembled by skilled technicians after stringent quality checks, then trial-run with bearing temperature and noise recorded. ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Drum mounting
Drum on the output shaft? Check the overhung load.
Radial load Fr acts at the centre of the shaft extension. If your drum load exceeds the value below, mount the drum on its own shaft and bearings with a flexible coupling, or use a J.S. Gear standard gear ring for a more rigid arrangement.
