Four stage helical gearbox with three helical stages plus a primary reduction, case-hardened and profile-ground gears, roller bearings throughout and a solid output shaft.

Output shaft loading
Permissible overhung load on the output shaft is 26 kN, acting at the middle of the shaft extension (L/2). Above this, support the drum on its own shaft and bearings with a flexible coupling, or use the standard gear ring below.
